This scenario is based on book 2 of the series. I am not sure they are adding new sucession rules right now in this patch (they are expanding on culture, so some of hte culture locked ones will be "easier" to access and more widespread), but they will likely do in the future. This scenario is a joke scenario, nominally based on book 1 of the series. You can also change if women are allowed to get or not into the succession line (you need to have a religion that allows it, or put the setting at start for them to be already enabled at start). Of course, there are other branches such as elective monarchy (which is culturally locked for specific areas such as pre-normandy invasion England, the Nordics, and the HRE), and other types of succession that play on who gets preference depending on age. On the late game, once you have the highest level of centralization you can select a heir that will be the one that gets the titles (normally has to be among the family). Succession rules depend, but in most of the game it is the closest possible heir, that means, your sons (and grandsons), then your oldest brother (and their sons) up to basically a big degree of how large the family is.
